Seminar of the Women with Disabilities 2008 (East and South-east Asia) Regional Conference on Women with Disabilities 2008 (East and South-east Asia) themed “‘Innovation and Solution Focused’, for the following goals:

1. To network women with disabilities in the Asia-Pacific region;
2. To share, develop and disseminate information for improving the living environment and life choices of women with disabilities; &
3. To inspire new ideas for promoting equal rights of women with disabilities.

主辦機構About the Organizer

香港女障協進會(簡稱女障)，為中國首個關注殘疾婦女權益的自助組織。女障於2000年3月8日成立，並於2004年正式註冊為非牟利慈善團體。本會成立的目的是希望爭取及維護殘疾婦女在社會上的地位，提高殘疾婦女的生活質素，以達致『助人自助、共建社群』的宗旨。

Association of Women with Disabilities Hong Kong (AWDHK) is a self-help society, which runs by and for women with disabilities in Hong Kong. The Association was founded on 8th March 2000 and registered as a charitable organization since 2004. The aim of AWDHK is to co-ordinate all categories of women with disabilities to strive for ‘Help those who help themselves. Advocate community building for all’.

主要範疇 Main Themes

殘疾婦女研討會2008 (東亞及東南亞)研討會的主要目的，是為聯繫亞太區關心殘疾婦女權益的團體及人士。我們希望建立一個平台，讓各類型的殘疾婦女交流發聲，分享各項提高殘疾婦女生活質素的經驗，及尋求殘疾婦女所面對的困難的解決方法，集思廣益，討論具前瞻性的建議及方案。

• 歡迎提交論文的摘要（包括題目、摘要/簡介、投稿者名稱、職銜、所屬機構及其聯絡方式）。
• 我們接受中文或英文稿件。論文摘要請以300-500字為限。
• 截止日期為2007年11月26日。
• 摘要經評閱後，籌委會將透過電郵或郵遞於2007年12月通知接受來稿與否。

• Abstract should be submitted in English or Chinese in 300-500 words in length. The title of the presentation, the name(s) of the presenter(s), the position of the presenter(s), the institution or affiliated organization of the presenter(s), with its address, and correspondence information must appear in the submitted document.
• Deadline of the submission: 26th November 2007.
• All the submission will be reviewed, and notification of acceptance will be sent by email/post by December 2007.
